Janessa has been a runner most of her life, but she didn’t run any ultras until just a few years ago. Since then, she has found great success in ultrarunning!

Mtn. Lakes 100 in 2014 was Janessa’s first attempt at the 100-mile distance. She not only won the race with a time of 16:24, but she also set the women's course record! She followed that up with an overall win and overall course record in 2015 at Antelope Canyon 100, and an overall win at Badger Mtn. 100 in 16:55, which was another overall course record.

In 2016, Janessa ran the fastest known unsupported time across the Great Smoky Mountain National Park – a 71-mile traverse along the Appalachian Trail with over 18,000 feet of elevation gain.

“I strive to eat clean and choose simple, organic ingredients. Skout has just a few ingredients of real food. It is easy on the stomach while training or racing. I love that Skout is vegan too!”
